News: Girls U15 L4 Try-outs
Try-outs for the U15 (L4) "Premier" Girls Team start "TONIGHT". Try-outs will be held Wed, Feb 24th from 8 till 9:30pm at Quinte Christian High School and Friday, Feb 26th, from 7 till 8pm at the Loyalist Soccer Dome. Players interested in attending the U-15 (L4) Premier Girls try-outs are asked to contact Jim Lavery at: jim.lavery@mrcglobal.org for further details. A Try-out Fee of $10.00 per/try-out will be may applied. Each player trying out for a Rep Team must be registered with the Ontario Soccer Association prior to trying out. If the player played with an OSA Soccer Club last year, the BYSC or a different Club, they are covered. A BYSC Club Representative will be available on-site to confirm and provide registration assistance.

News: Girls U17 Competitive Team
Terry and Gary are going to hold tryouts March 31, April 7 and April 14th from 7-8 at the Dome....for U17 girls.

For those that have not paid the trainng session fees there is a cost of $10 for each tryout night they attend and must attend a min of one night to be considered.

They need to be registered with the BYSC in order to tryout.

Outdoor Registration times are available:

March 3 5-7pm
March 6 11-3pm

Registration is available at your convenience by visiting Four Seasons Sports, Soccer Extreme, The Loyalist Sports Dome or the menu on the left (Outdoor season) to print a form and drop it off at the office drop box.

News: Girls U13 Regional Try-outs
For U13 (Regional) Girls (Marg Thonpson-coach) the tryouts are going to be:
U13 Tryout 1 - Fri Feb 19 (6 - 7 PM)
U13 Tryout 2 - Wed Feb 24 (8-9 PM)
U13 Tryout 3 - Mon Mar 1 (8-9 PM)

News: Boys U15 Level 5 Training and tryouts
This session is open to boys born in 1995 wishing to play competitive soccer at Level 5. This team will play within SOSA and compete in a 15/16 division.

Boys attending training will be expected to attend tryouts for this team.
Fee is $100.00 for 7 training sessions and 3 tryouts.

Dates for the 3 tryouts will be posted in March and can be separate from the training at $10 per tryout.

Training Dates: Feb 25 @ 6pm, Mar 4 @ 6pm with the remainder falling on Mondays @ 8pm Coach: Stella Haskin

Please drop your cheques and contact information in the office drop box at 116 Pinnacle street.

The field will be shared with the U14 Girls team coached by Ian Press

News: March Break Skills Clinics
March Break Clinic Registration Forms.doc (30.50 K)

Monday March 15th 9am-11am with Coach Will Crothers

In this session players will receive instruction on the mechanics involved
in striking the ball with the laces as when shooting on goal. As well there
will be lots of opportunity to practice the steps and to strike the ball at
the net from various situations.

Minimum age of participants is 9 years.
Maximum number of participants is 20.

Friday March 19th 9am-11am Goaltending Pre-Season Preparation

In this 2 hour training session, keepers will work through, warm-ups,
drills, strategies, and games that they can use throughout the season to
maintain their skills. The focus will be on developing the key factors
of technique including footwork, handwork, shot stopping and diving.
Keepers will also learn strategies to effectively control play in and
around the penalty area. Each keeper will be given a written evaluation
at the end of the session, with suggestions ofareas to improve in the
future.

This clinic will be run by

Scott Mills- Coach- Albert College U20 Boys, U20 Girls, BYSC U14 Boys
Nora Abolins- Keeper- Toronto Lady Lynx Jr.s, University of Detroit

Minimum age of participant is 12 years
